Why Probiotic System Care?
Drains, septic systems, and other waste systems naturally accumulate organic material.
Culleoka’s Drain, Septic & Sewer uses 7 strains of non-pathogenic, enzyme-producing bacteria to help break down organic waste and buildup within these systems.
Rather than functioning as a harsh chemical drain opener, it is designed to become part of a routine maintenance program for systems that rely on ongoing biological activity.
Use the treatment amount and frequency appropriate for the system you are maintaining.
Where Can I Use It?
Home Septic Systems
Designed for routine probiotic maintenance of residential septic systems.
The formula can be introduced through drains closest to the septic tank or through problem drains according to the treatment instructions below.
Slow Drains & Disposals
Useful for routine maintenance of:
- Kitchen drains
- Bathroom drains
- Garbage disposals
- Other compatible drain lines
This product is intended for biological maintenance and organic buildup — not as an instant mechanical drain opener.
Sewer Systems
Can be incorporated into maintenance programs for compatible sewer and wastewater systems where organic waste accumulates.
RV & Houseboat Holding Tanks
Useful for biological treatment and maintenance of compatible waste and graywater holding systems.
Grease Traps
The probiotic formula can be incorporated into maintenance programs for grease traps and other systems where fats and organic waste accumulate.
Lagoons & Lift Stations
Drain, Septic & Sewer can also be used as part of treatment programs for larger waste systems, including lagoons and lift stations.
Follow the appropriate treatment rate for the system being maintained.
Treatment Guide
Home Septic Systems
Initial Treatment: 20 oz. per 1,000-gallon tank
Pour directly into drains closest to the septic tank or into problem drains.
For best results, apply at night or during a period of low system use so the probiotics have additional dwell time.
Routine Maintenance
Use 8–16 oz. every 4 weeks.
Adjust treatment amount and frequency as needed based on system conditions and usage.
Slow Drains, Disposals & Sewer Lines
Use approximately twice the diameter of the drain in ounces.
Examples:
- 4-inch drain: 8 oz.
- 6-inch drain: 12 oz.
- 8-inch drain: 16 oz.
Apply directly to the drain and allow adequate dwell time before heavy water use whenever possible.
Holding & Graywater Systems
Graywater Tanks: Use 2 oz. per gallon of graywater.
Drains / Dry-Trap Maintenance: Use 2–4 oz. per drain to help maintain traps during extended storage or periods of low use.
These applications may also be useful in appropriate dump-station programs.
Always follow the current product label for the system being treated.
Lagoons, Lift Stations & Grease Traps
Initial Treatment: 2 gallons per 1 million gallons of water, or based on average biweekly flow.
Continue treatment according to the current product-label program until the desired maintenance condition is reached, then transition to an appropriate preventive-maintenance schedule.
Treatment requirements can vary significantly based on system volume, flow, organic loading, and operating conditions.
The label also identifies the product as suitable for FOG (Fats, Oils & Grease) programs.
How to Use
Before Every Application
Shake well before use.
The probiotic components naturally settle while the product is stored. Shaking helps redistribute the formula before treatment.
